Abandoned Decay
Series of photographs mainly taken on Spike Island, a former star fort located just off the coast of Cobh (formerly Queenstown) in County Cork, Rep. of Ireland. It was transformed into a prison, subsequently shut down in 2004 and has been left to decay ever since. There's been talk of developing it into a tourist attraction as Ireland's very own Alcatraz, so I'm glad I managed to get there before any development. The boarded up residential buildings were occupied by the guards, and now the island remains uninhabited.
